Menai Silver Buck
(Friars Ranger X Menai
Silver Coin)
was foaled in 1991 in Wales
at Menai Stud owner by Peter Jones.
A lease agreement between JD Orear and Pete Dagenais of Canada
generated the importation of Menai Silver Buck to the United Stated in
December of 1994. Buck was used on a few select mares the breeding
season of 1995. Five foals were registered to Menai Silver Buck the
summer of 1996.
After seeing the quality of these foals, *Menai Silver Buck was deemed to be an asset to the Dandardel Breeding program. In April 1997 *Menai Silver Buck was purchased by JD Orear and Connie and Ted Moore. His wonderful disposition was passed on to his progeny. From the arrival of the first foals in 1996 through 2010 there have been 70 registered foals.
Contributing to Buck's Legion Of Merit were Dandardel Bobbie Jo, Dandardel Silver Pride, Madyn Sea Dragon, Dandardel Miss, Dandardel Sarah, and Dandardel Maxwell.
These ponies have made wonderful contributions
to the Welsh world. A heart
